Wedding Theme: French Lavender and Lace
Vintage. Chic. Feminine. Flirtatious. Romantic. Unforgettable!
Struggling with wedding ideas? More and more brides-to-be these days are drawing inspiration from favorite locales, vacation spots, and even foreign countries.
What could be more romantic than an outdoor garden wedding with a French couture flair?!
For this particular theme we’ve mixed in soft lavender, pale whites, hints of pink and yellow, and dramatic splashes of black to really make a statement. Classic, French couture invites are a perfect start to planning your big day! For your location, pick a spot with lots of shady trees. Soft, yellow lights strewn throughout the garden will accent the oak picnic tables adorned with vases of lavender, pink, and yellow flowers. Be sure to add hints of black throughout! Perhaps some black laced napkins? Check out the 2-tiered French couture wedding cake we found! As for the dishware keep it simple. Choose something that blends in as to not take away from all the pops of color! With sachets of lavender strewn about the tables and the colorful variety of France’s most infamous pastry the macaroon to top it off, your guests will not be disappointed! Don’t forget the fleur-de-lis place card holders! A beautiful way to bring a little French royalty into this simple yet refined theme. In keeping with our inspiration of France’s lavender fields we chose to pair the pale white dress with purple bridesmaid dresses. Don’t be afraid to mix it up with varying dress styles too! We recommend an up-do for your hair with wisps of long curly tendrils and this vintage lavender hair clip we found. Finally say thank you with style with one of our past featured ideas of an umbrella ‘Merci’.
