This was our last wedding of 2015! It was great to celebrate with Elizabeth and Joe at their destination wedding on Clearwater beach at the Hyatt Regency. Friends and family gathered for a long weekend of festivities while they were in town. Elizabeth incorporated some really cute details that reflected the happy couple. The groom loves cars, especially vintage so hence the shifter knob cuff links and custom cake topper! For colors she chose to go bold with the navy linens and soft and elegant for the florals in creams and blush. I also loved how she incorporated sequins tastefully into the mix. There were also a few nautical elements as well. One of my favorite decor elements was the ceremony back drop. Iza with Flowers by Iza created an arch out of birch and added soft floral accents.
Thank you to Cornelia with K & K Photography (www.kandkphotography) for capturing their special day! Here are some of our favorite highlights from Elizabeth and Joe’s Wedding……
Barbara and Joe were so sweet! When we initially started planning, Barbara was nervous and didn’t know where to start. At our first meeting, we sat down and started putting the pieces together. From there on, we brought their dream wedding vision to reality. Barbara wanted to incorporate both Deep Red and Purple, which is a pretty vibrant color combination, (which I love when brides pick bold colors to work with!) Instead of just using neutral tone linens we brought in a deep red and kept the floral in the more blush and light creams. One of my favorite additions to the party was adding a percussion player alongside the DJ. That added a “live” music feel without the larger expense of a full sized band. Another special touch was the Dove Release at the end of the ceremony which symbolizes true love!
Thank you Life Long Studios and Allure Cinema for capturing their beautiful day!
Jody and Thomas were married back in February. Their wedding had a “New York” meets “Tampa” theme. Jody chose a color palate of ivory, orange and green for the wedding! Something that you don’t see too often. Alexis with 2 Birds designed centerpieces to compliment the surroundings of the Tampa garden club and gave the event a “Southern” feel. Another great addition to their reception, was the beer that was served to the guests. Craft Beer plays a big part in their lives, with Thomas being the Brand Ambassador for The Florida Beer Company, he hand-picked the brews for the Reception. The couple actually crafted their own beer in honor of their beloved 4-legged friend Grover! Jody and Thomas were so much fun to work with and it was great to see all of their personal touches the day of the wedding!
I had the pleasure of working with Dior and Ryan on their destination wedding here at the Hyatt Regency on Clearwater Beach. The bride and groom traveled with their close family and friends all the way from Scotland. I have gotten to know Dior and her family over the past two years and I was thrilled that their special day was finally here, but sad that it is over too! I will definitely miss them! We started off the evening on the beach, with a beautiful ceremony and butterfly release. Afterwards, we went upstairs for the reception where guests were entertained by the Calladesi Steel Drum Band during cocktails and then danced the night away to DJ Cory with Grant Hemmond. Many thanks to all the vendors that made Dior and Ryan’s Wedding Day so special! This weekend they are celebrating back home in Scotland. Wish I was there too! Thank you to Aaron Bornfleth for the images below!
Back in September Nikki and Cina were married at the Hyatt Clearwater Beach. Their destination wedding was attended by friends and family from all over. The weekend was filled with many tears of joy and laughter. We had such a fun time planning their wedding! I especially enjoyed being the taste tester of the cake pops, since Nikki was not able to be here to pick out the flavors! Here is a look back at their Amazing Day! Thank you Jason for the beautiful pictures. I especially love the one captured from their “First Look”.
I have to say it, planning Lauren and Jack’s destination wedding at The Hyatt on Clearwater Beach was a lot of fun!!! The planning was pretty exciting, since there were a lot of surprises in store! The wedding weekend was filled with fun things to do for the friends and family of the bride and groom, from a spa day for the girls to a golf outing for the guys. Then on the big day, came the surprises! It was quite a task keeping everything under wraps from both the parents and the happy couple! The first surprise came before the ceremony, Lauren carried a Broach Bouquet instead of a traditional floral one. It even had a locket with the couple’s motto on it as well as tiny paw prints. Lauren is a Veterinarian, so that was a sweet personal touch. Lauren’s mom loved her bouquet so much that Lauren surprised her with one for her to carry down the aisle. What a great gift and keepsake! After the ceremony on the Sky Terrace, the guests continued the party in the Belleair Beach Club and Ballroom. For the Grand Surprise, during the reception, the Father of the Bride made a special toast to Lauren and Jack and the sky lit up with a beautiful fireworks display on the beach. It brought tears to everyone’s eyes and was a beautiful way to end the celebration with a bang!
Thank you to all the vendors that made Lauren and Jack’s Wedding everything they could have imagined and then some…..
Kelly and Jeff were married in late September at The Don CeSar Beach Resort on St. Pete Beach. It was such a fun wedding to plan with Kelly, her mom and MMD Events! We incorporated a lot of cute little details that really reflected Kelly and Jeff. From the Jenga Guest Book to the Mini Canadian Pennant Flags for the ceremony, (which was a surprise), was a great way to pay tribute to Jeff’s roots. One detail that was kept secret from the Bride and Groom were the cakes. Kelly didn’t really care about the cake, so her mom designed the wedding cake along with the groom’s cake with Alla from The Cake Zone. For the design of the wedding, Kelly brought in some inspiration photos. She was definitely not looking for your typical beach wedding. With the expertise of Jackie and Amanda of MMD Events, they came up with a color palate of green, pool blue and white with a hint of taupe. As you can see we brought in hints of the beach such as sand and shells, but keep a clean, crisp look throughout and added some really cool textures. One of my favorite elements of the wedding was Kelly’s bouquet. It was absolutely amazing and the locket was a great touch to honor her dad that had passed away.
This past July we had the pleasure of coordinating Emily and Gardner’s Davis Islands Garden Club wedding. Their wedding and reception was very personal to them- a fun and laid back wedding reception. Emily’s mother made all the table runners and overlays as well as created all the floral centerpieces and bouquets!
Take a look at the photos we received from Jason Mize Photography!
A special thanks to all the vendors involved in this wedding….
This past Spring we had the pleasure of planning Natalie and Danny’s beautiful pale pink and ivory wedding at Innisbrook Resort and Spa. Thank you to Binary Flips for the outstanding photographs. Please take a look and let us know what you think! Congrats once again to the beautiful bride and groom.
A special thank you to all the vendors involved:

Last month we had the pleasure of coordinating Carrie and James’ wedding at the Hyatt on Clearwater Beach. They had a very intimate wedding with lots of special touches that really made the wedding about them!
Carrie and James wanted to have a first look prior to the ceremony, this way they could get all her formal pictures taken prior to the ceremony. The couple wanted to enjoy cocktail hour and be apart of it. And, enjoyed cocktail hour they did. Carrie had a self made photo booth with lots of fun props for guests to wear. Everyone had a lot of fun with that.
The couple decided they wanted to have their first dance just after they said their I-Do’s. Right after the were pronounced husband and wife instead of recessing down the aisle out of their wedding ceremony, they went right into their first dance. It was very special and unique.
